The April 10, 2015 monthly meeting will feature, AAAP’s own Dr. Ken Cole’s presentation, “Making A New Atlas of Mars,” a different top-down look at the Red Planet. Here is Ken’s lecture synopsis:
“As long as people have been telling stories, the planet Mars has a been an object of fascination and a key setting, or character, in those stories. In the half century of exploration by robotic spacecraft, the visions of H.G. Wells and Percival Lowell have been replaced with a very different picture of the red planet.”
